Class options and availability vary by location. Most classes meet during the regular school year, with some offering summer sessions. Scroll to the bottom of this page to explore our offerings!

How to Enroll:

While we welcome walk ins, we strongly encourage you to contact us, prior to attending a class. We can help you find the best fit, and it will also help our instructors prepare for your first visit. Enrollment is ongoing, you can start classes at any time.

Our Locations

Confirm Class Availability: We do our best to keep this schedule updated, but sometimes schedule changes happen, and updates to this page may be slightly delayed. To confirm the most current availability, refer to the Adult Literacy Hotline, which is the hub for all Minnesota ABE classes and is updated immediately whenever changes occur.

No Class Days: If the local school district is closed for any reason, whether due to a pre-planned non-school day or a weather-related closure, ABE classes will also be canceled. In rare cases where a teacher needs to cancel for a personal reason, they will notify enrolled students directly. Check your local school district calendar and contact your teacher if you are unsure.

Statewide Online Training Courses

Minnesota ABE is piloting new Online Statewide Training Courses, focusing on helping learners earn specialized skills and earn career-related certifications. All courses require additional study time outside of class.

Some classes may have eligibility requirements. If you are interested in enrolling, complete the Online Training Courses Interest Form.

Spring 2025 Online Offerings

Microsoft Office Specialist Certification

Earn certifications for Word, Excel, and/or Powerpoint. You'll receive three college credits per certificate earned!
